2016 Round Up - Classes, Tools, Products, and More!

By Victoria Richardson

It has been another great year in the HVAC industry! As 2016 comes to a close, we at HVAC Learning Solutions put our heads together to come up with some things that made this year extra special. From tools to training courses, here’s a look back at our top five favorite things in 2016.

1. Great learning and training opportunities, like virtual training courses.

The technician shortage is leading contractors to hire those who are new to the industry, so many are looking to training and onboarding solutions that leverage new technologies to speed up the process. Thanks to HVAC Learning Solutions’ virtual training courses, we can thoroughly train new team members from anywhere — and get great results. Our Virtual BuildATech® course is a great way to bring your employees up to speed through a self-paced, immersive curriculum which includes webinars and access to a 3-D HVAC troubleshooting simulation. It has seen terrific success this year, and we can’t wait to bring this new way of training to a whole new group of students in 2017.

2. Top-of-the-line products, like our smart thermostats.

Lennox’ new line of smart thermostats is beneficial for both dealers and homeowners alike thanks to an array of helpful and easy-to-use features. Products like the iComfort® S30 can help save energy and clean up the air while providing comfort and convenience. Plus, these connected thermostats direct the homeowner straight to the dealer when there’s a need for any assistance, building a relationship that’s a real win-win.

3. State-of-the-art tools.

Having the right tools helps us get the job done efficiently and easily. Looking back at this year, we are grateful for an array of items in our toolboxes. The first is the ABM-200 Wireless Smart Anemometer, which connects to your smartphone so you can conveniently measure air volume, velocity, temperature, humidity, pressure, density, and more — it even records the data and emails reports. Our favorite high-tech tool is the SPM-100 Smartphone Static Pressure Meter Dual-Port Manometer. It has all the functions of a standard manometer for less money, and it can measure building pressure inside and out. Plus, it pairs to your smartphone or tablet so you can generate detailed reports to show the customer on-site.

4. How-to videos on LennoxPROs.com and our YouTube channel.

This year, we introduced a series of how-to videos to help give you instant, on-the-spot guidance for technical topics and issues. In each video, one of our experts walks you step-by-step through troubleshooting, installs, product guides, and more in a way that’s easy to understand and replicate. From interpreting equipment fault codes to breaking down how a home’s refrigerant system works, these videos are a great help whether you’re out on a job or simply educating yourself in order to prepare for the next one.

5. Our fantastic team.

Between the incredible family of coworkers and the loyal customers we get to work with on a daily basis, every day on the job is a good one. Our tech trainers and class instructors are the best in the business and help us get the job done right from day one.

We’ve had a great year helping you achieve your training, business, and on-the-job goals, and we can’t wait to see what next year holds.
