I'm not here to baby you. There are things in the business world that must be done whether you like it or not. I'm not talking about documentation or even training.
I'm talking about cleanliness and your work vehicle. You can't expect to have a professional reputation if your work environment doesn't look the part. While this may not matter for the businessman whose office is never seen by clients, it matters to you. Your office - or work truck - is a moving, driving advertisement for your business. Like it or not, first impressions are made right off the bat when the customer sees your truck. Here's how to make sure that impression is a good one.
Take out and take apart
Get everything out of your truck. Start fresh. Clean out every corner with antibacterial solution. Then clean all of the parts, supplies, and any equipment you took out of your truck. Depending on what you're cleaning, you may need a special cleansing liquid or wipe. Do your research.
Organize better
Before putting everything back in the truck, figure out what you need. What do you use every day? What could you do without? Determine what's crucial and leave unnecessary items at the office. Then put what you need back in your truck in an organized manner. I find that organizing supplies by size makes the most sense.
