Three things a 20-something taught me about HVAC business

Don't take the younger folks on your staff for granted. Business advancements happen every day and these newer generations adapt faster than the rest of us. Generation Y (those born between the 1980s and 2000s), are introducing an infectious way to handle business that older generations could learn from. Here's what you can learn from a twenty-something about business.

Become social

Social media is the front-runner for marketing content across all industries. Establishing a social media presence for both personal and professional use will help to establish your "brand." In terms of using social media for professional use, your online presence represents who you are, what work you have done, and how you are a reflection of the company you work for. Contemporary consumers have grasped the concept of social media and have proven it to be an invaluable source of information.

Aspire for more

The American dream has changed, people. Kids don't grow up dreaming of having a steady job and a white picket fence anymore. Nowadays, young people are a different kind of ambitious. On top of seeking financial stability, they want their own dreams to become a reality. Apply this type of personal passion to your own career aspirations.

Balancing work and life

Not to say members of Generation Y are less dedicated to their jobs, but they understand that the key to being happy is finding the happy medium between work and life. There is more to life than working endless hours, so get out there and make the most of your time off.
